Following are the steps to bringup Meego on Omap 3530EVM Mistral board : - Assumption : - Boot loader is u-boot. - Tool chain used for building kernel is compatible with the root file system of meego package for ARMV7. 1. Download linux kernel from below URL : http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git 3. And i have decided to blog this for a simple reason coz there aren't many doc's on the net that describe rooting + upgrading ur htc desire + tools used on linux for doing the same. ok the following line is actually a dampner, i dont want to add it but i have no choice. WARNING: ROOTING THE HTC DESIRE WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. and I DISCLAIM ANY CHANCE OF DAMAGE TO YOUR PHONE. s/w required 1. ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 preferably 64 bit version for obvious reasons....i'm currently using a 64 bit bit ubuntu 10.10 machine. 2. android sdk setup (optional) for adb tool to be used for transfering files to the device. 3.
